✨In Taiwan, the skeletonema used at zoea stage in hatchery is collected from nature. It’s always a source of vibrio and the cause of higher mortality of shrimp larva. If skeletonema is needed, how to solve this problem?
According to the information of Fisheries Research Institute, Taiwan, the microbial competition from photosynthetic bacteria (PSB) is an appropriate way to inhibit the growth of vibrio. For the application, use PSB after the water of algae tank is disinfection by HClO ( 30-50ppm), then pour skeletonema into tank. Through PSB we can considerably reduce the impact of vibrio.
